Following the thoughts

The past few posts, and especially their comments, have been interesting to read. It is always intriguing to see how a discussion moves itself. Circenses proclaims that both men and women can be elders/pastors. And he cites:

"Male Elders - 1 Tim 5:1; Titus 2:2
Female Elders - 1 Tim 5:2; Titus 2:3"

However, these passages do not address the issues of the officers of the church but discipleship, if I am reading correctly. I have no problems for men teaching men and women teaching women, however at what point does a church put a woman over a man or a man o
over a woman.

What is the correct path to follow? (Remember to be Christ like in all things)

I can't believe no one has commented on this topic. Please, someone comment...this is my life--reading what others think. :-)

OK,

The church in which I grew up had a cemetery hich it owned and maintained. The cemetery now being more than 150 years old has a limitation on the space available especially in the front and middle of the cemetery. Many families have plots in the cemetery surrounded by other graves and plots. In some cases, wives or husbands have outlived their mates by many many years but want to be buried next to their spouse. Since a side by side arrangement is no longer possible within most older family plots, the solution, which the church has approved, is to bury the second spouse on top of the first. The question as to the man over woman or woman over man is entirely dependent upon who died first.
